Who is a good candidate?
TMS may be a good option if you've tried antidepressant medications with limited benefit or unwanted side effects, or if you're looking for a non-medication-based treatment for depression.
A non-invasive, FDA-approved treatment for depression — especially for individuals who haven't experienced enough relief from medication. Gentle magnetic pulses stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. No anesthesia. Back to your day, immediately after.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive, FDA-approved treatment for depression — especially for individuals who have not experienced enough relief from medication.
TMS uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. Treatments are done in-office, do not require anesthesia, and allow you to return to your normal activities immediately afterward.

Most major insurance plans, including Medicare, cover TMS for qualifying patients. Our team will verify benefits and walk you through coverage and any out-of-pocket costs before treatment begins.
Most patients describe TMS as a tapping sensation on the scalp. It is generally well tolerated, and sessions are brief and monitored closely by trained clinical staff.
A treatment grounded in measurable, well-defined protocols.

A two-stage process — designed around your comfort, safety, and steady progress.
Your first NeuroStar® TMS visit is called a mapping session. Your provider carefully identifies the exact area of your brain involved in mood regulation and determines the right treatment settings for you.
This process is personalized and non-invasive. You may feel a light tapping on your scalp during this visit, similar to regular treatment sessions.
After mapping, you'll begin a course of approximately 35 sessions, scheduled five days per week. Each session lasts about 20 minutes — you'll sit comfortably while gentle magnetic pulses are delivered.
You remain awake, alert, and able to resume normal activities immediately afterward — there's no downtime or sedation. Over the course, many patients notice gradual improvements in mood, energy, sleep, and motivation. Progress is monitored regularly, and your care team supports you throughout.
